Acer and Victoria University
Victoria University (VU) is a multi-sector institution offering higher education and TAFE courses in campuses in the western suburbs of Melbourne and the city centre. With more than 45,000 students and 3,500 staff, VU offers courses from certificate level to advanced diplomas, degrees, or postgraduate qualifications by coursework or research. VU has been a customer of Acer for 12 years and it owns a range of Acer desktops and laptops. The following case study discusses the challenges and solutions VU and Acer implemented when evaluating the replacement of over 1,000 computers on its campuses.

All Hallows - Teaching the Netbook Way
All Hallows is a Catholic institution founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1861. All Hallows' School delivers a comprehensive curriculum to over 1400 girls between the years 5 and 12. The school has a long commitment to integrating IT into its curriculum and has rolled out a fleet of 240 Acer Aspire One netbooks providing access to the schools' Moodle learning management system, word processing and other applications.

Acer Adding Value at Moreton Bay College
Acer has helped leading Brisbane school, Moreton Bay College, develop an inventory of more than 700 desktop PCs and notebooks. This fleet allows computing technology to reach right down into the Pre-School and Child Care areas of the school where PCs are used in the classrooms, for administration and in dedicated computer labs.


John Paul College’s Hands on Notebook Program

John Paul College is currently the site of the largest student notebook program in Queensland. Every student from grades 4 through to 12 equipped with their own Acer notebook for use at school and at home.
